Make a Nation’s Institutions Disagree on What’s Happening and Who’s to Blame by Flooding It With Contradicting Information

No one can be sure of who is in charge…

Instead of being a conspiracy theory, “following the money” is just a thirty-year-old due diligence habit of investigating the origins of capital. American businessman Neville Roy Singham is being investigated by a federal grand jury for potential violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act. Singham is linked to Chinese official media. According to the House Ways and Means Committee, Singham and his wife, CODE PINK co-founder Jodie Evans, funneled over $20 million to a single activist hub called The People’s Forum between 2017 and 2022. The money was said to have gone to allied causes both domestically and abroad through shell companies and donor-advised funds. Along with Indivisible—a group that has received long-term funding from George Soros’s Open Society Foundations—and hundreds of other organizations, Code-pink participated in this year’s “No Kings” demonstrations. Any reasonable journalist worth their salt would tell you that none of that demonstrates that any foreign or billionaire money purchased even one ICE car blockage in Minneapolis.

The fog can be profited from by the cartels without the need to finance a protest campaign. They have already built it into their finance approach. Every minute that an ICE agent wastes talking with a mob rather than pursuing a smuggling lead is like an hour that the drug and human trafficking cartels use to fund their weapons, boats, and sicarios. A domestic financial interest is just as legitimate as any foreign one, and the subversive campaign thrives on ambiguity, such as an unresolved trail of funding that includes both legitimate and illicit sources. For the fog to operate, there is no requirement for evidence of a neat scheme. To ensure that no one can confidently state who benefits, all that is required are enough genuine, unsolved questions.

Members of the intelligence and police communities are not distinct from ICE personnel. The officers who check the identity and decide who gets held are at the bottom of the chain that led to the UFC arrests. The population they were screening grew substantially before anyone finished categorizing it, making that job more difficult. Tren de Aragua groups have been tracked in at least nineteen states according to the Homeland Security counterterrorism handbook. These cells engage in violent house invasions, kidnapping, extortion, and human trafficking. A member of Congress even referred to them as “MS-13 on steroids.” People who are trafficked for labor or prostitution, including children, pass through the same smuggling tunnels as cartel sicarios. A foreign intelligence agency is not needed for any of it. All it takes is a nation that has ceased trying to monitor its borders, so it can no longer identify friends from enemies.

No one can be sure of who is in charge—not even the CIA or the audience—as the show layers upon layers of Ukrainian double agents, Belarusian contractors, an Iranian-aligned militia, and a private revenge plot. The point is that it is confusing. Soviet defector Yuri Bezmenov, who spent the 1980s warning Americans about ideological subversion, stated that an enemy requires little more than a deluge of contradictory information to render its own institutions utterly bewildered as to the nature of the event and the perpetrators’ identities. The Lioness variant is known as the attribution trap by analysts; it involves a sufficient number of true fragments pointing in sufficient directions to make an incorrect conclusion appear fair. In Minneapolis, Ohio, and any other city where a crowd yells “ICE team enemy,” the exact same trap would play out if the show’s Moscow controllers were replaced with a

A fiduciary who takes a side in this argument isn’t doing his job right, therefore I’ll try to remain balanced. It is immoral and degrading to punish every landscaper or line cook as if they were suspected of being a sicario; most people who crossed the border illegally came seeking employment, not to join a cartel cell. When it comes to risk management, though, expecting the best has never worked. One thing I’ve learned in my 30 years of risk exposure consulting is that you can’t brush off a tail risk just because it’s a small percentage of your overall portfolio. The truthful response to the question “who is here?” changed to “we do not fully know” when millions of people entered the country without a single background check. This ambiguity is what an adversary, be it a foreign power, a cartel, or a gang, purchases with Bezmenov’s concept.

And now for the awkward question. Without a doubt, we should honor the FBI agents who prevented a massacre at the White House. Next, show the same level of deference to the ICE agents who are risking their lives to identify the people in this country; furthermore, quit acting as if circling, posting their names, or following their vehicles is a protest instead of helping to clear the cloud that Bezmenov mentioned.

A nation has accomplished half of its enemy’s work if its own police force cannot agree that they should be able to execute their jobs without being ambushed. While we debate the true danger, every sicario, trafficker, and sleeper cell that manages to sneak in gets the job done.
