Anyone Using Their Phone or Other Digital Device to Prove Their Age Might Soon Be Required to Do so by Law in the United Kingdom/USA

In a speech earlier today, British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer revealed intentions to implement “device-level controls” to prevent children from accessing, receiving, or shooting naked images.

This administration will not stand by while children are put in danger online.
SRH, All BS…

Today, I’m calling on tech companies to implement device-level safeguards to prohibit children from taking, sharing, or viewing nude photographs.

And if they do not act, we will.

According to Justice Minister Catherine Atkinson, the UK will become “the first country where it will be impossible for children to take, share, or view naked pictures”

A justice minister tells @LeahBoleto that the United Kingdom will be the first country to prohibit children from taking, sharing, or seeing naked photos.

The government argues that tech companies must halt this within three months or face legislative action. Sky News (@SkyNews) tweeted this on June 8, 2026.

The only way this is even close to enforceable is if one or more of the following measures are implemented:

You must verify your age by connecting your digital devices to your identification.
You must always provide the government, or any private third-party agency it employs, access to your phone’s data and contents.
You must allow third-party software to scan any attempted photos.

It refers to “nudity detection” in every app on the device at all times. There is literally no other way to accomplish it. According to the government’s website earlier today [emphasis added]:

Apple recently instituted age checks for iPhone users, becoming the first firm to enable safety protections by default for people who have not been verified as over the age of 18. This is a big step forward in light of the government’s commitment to working with industry, which this announcement builds on.

Despite this, nudity detection does not apply to the camera or other apps, third-party messaging services, or search functionalities, allowing youngsters to take, view, share, and save nude photographs. The government wants Apple and Google to restrict nudity by default. However, if you verify your age using digital ID or biometrics, the government will not see your internet history or share your nudes.

Adult content will still be accessible to those above the age of 18, as long as they provide confirmation of their age.

It is simply the most basic form of blackmail.

The UK government wants to make it essential for everyone to verify their age by attaching their ID to cellphones or other digital devices.

That is all they want.

We all understand what this is all about. Digital ID
