‘Survival Mode’—Farmers Crushed

As the seven-month mark for Donald Trump’s attack on Iran approaches, its effects on the world’s and the US’s economies are becoming clear. The prices of diesel, fertilizer, and farm tools are going up, making farmers very desperate. This is the worst effect of a war that their federal politicians never declared.

People on the right feel let down by Trump and other people in Washington. This war with Iran started because of his war. That war is not being won. CNN spoke with farmer John Boyd Jr. who said that many farms believe we shouldn’t be there. Trump says that the war with Iran is necessary to stop the spread of nuclear weapons. From 2007 until the day before the war, the US intelligence committee rejected over and over that Iran was making a nuclear weapon. It’s been 34 years.

“I had the most stress last year,” Matt Bell, a farmer from North Carolina, told CBS News. “We’ve cut everything we can cut.” To make more money, Bell has put off buying new tools, made his own fertilizer, and built a pumpkin patch and hayride for the fall. Cost increases come after a tough time that has already hurt the financial stability of his business.A farmer named Matt Bell told CBS News that the last few years have been hard in farming and that costs have been cut wherever they can. We’re almost done cutting, though. To run, you need gas. Like fertilizer, you can’t run without it. Bell told her, “You need it.”

The AAA said this week that the average price of gas across the country was $6.49, which is 75% more than it was a year ago. This is because oil sources in the Persian Gulf have dropped dramatically. Because prices change so often, Bell’s diesel dealers have been giving hourly price quotes. He spent more on gas in August than the $35,000 he had planned for 2026. “Every piece of equipment on this farm runs on diesel,” he stated.

Lynn Fleming, a cattle owner from Texas, told Sky News that her August fee for a few was almost double what it had been in the past. “Obviously the main [factor] is what we’re facing everyday with the Iranian situation,” Fleming said. Robert, her husband, said he was shocked by the war. “We had no idea he would play a joke on the Strait of Hormuz.” He didn’t tell us that he was going to start military drills to control that area’s oil supply. It wasn’t warned of.” In 2024, Trump ran for office and said he would be a “peace president” who would not start any new wars.

Bell says that the war and Trump’s taxes have caused the prices of many things farmers need to survive to go up. “Everything we’re touching, the fertilizer, fuel, chemicals, seed, parts — you know, the whole nine yards, everything that we touch has gone up,” he said.

Trump’s decision to get rid of beef tariffs in response to rising food prices hurt US cattle farmers, who were already having a hard time with money. “I’m already getting used to your sudden high fuel prices,” rancher Josh Eilers in South Texas told Sky. “Gentlemen, please help me out. I can’t afford to keep buying things if I don’t stop.””No American should feel sorry for the farmer,” Bell said. I want the people in the US to be very angry about our situation. We’re in a tough spot and have no other choices. I’m angry. I think bad rules brought us here.

Most of the farmers and ranchers in this article went for Trump. Their unhappiness with the situation is probably making Republicans across the country less excited about the midterms. Robert Fleming said, “I’m afraid something will change about voting.” Many people may not vote because they feel like they are not being heard.

WATCHMAN’S WARNING: NOBODY IS TELLING YOU HOW BAD THE FARMERS ARE TREATED IN AMERICA RIGHT NOW

Watchman: Stallings Portrayed Farmers As the Adversaries of the People; Through Their Exploitation, the State Seized Control Over Food Production, Ultimately Resulting in the Starvation of 7 Million Russian Citizens. Now, a Hundred Years Later, Bill Gates Plans the Same Fate for Our Farmers at the World Economic Forum. the USDA Ignores the Situation

The crushing truth is this: American farmers are now living through one of the worst agricultural downturns in recent memory, and the very policy they celebrated — Trump’s sweeping tariff regime — is a driving force behind their pain.
