At the Asia Security Summit, XI Shows off His Strength

One thing was evident from away when the leaders of China, Russia, India, Iran, and other countries gathered in Central Asia for a two-day summit that started on Monday. According to the New York Times, “Xi Jinping of China has his own powerful orbit even as Trump tries to bend the world to revolve around Washington.”

“Mr. Xi’s broad ability to sustain Washington’s enemies, both in peacetime and in war, was highlighted by the Chinese leader’s arrival in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, for a meeting of the 10-nation political and security group known as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.”
